Transportation from airportThe Resort makes trip to Ottawa to pick up workers at the airport. To use the Resort transportation, workers will be required to be available at certain designated time. This may require some arriving workers to stay overnight at an Ottawa hotel or hostel.

Grooming & ImageResort wear - clean & professional attire. Bring black shirt and pants if you work as a server.
DocumentationThe Resort assists international workers with their paperwork and banking. We provide applications for Social Insurance Numbers, a trip to Service Canada to deliver the SIN applications, and a trip to the bank to open a bank account. In addition, the Resort provides employment and job training information on line prior to the commencement of work.
Public TransitYou can take a bus to Ottawa from Arnprior. The schedules are at www.octranspo1.com
TaxiThere are taxi services available in Arnprior for transportation to the Resort on days or at times when the staff van is not available. A-1 Taxi 613 623-3522 has a 6-person passenger van. Other cab companies in Arnprior are Grab a Cab 613 623-5601 and Murray’s Taxi 613 622-0677.
Driver’s LicenseWorkers that wish to buy, rent or drive a car in Canada should obtain an international driver’s license.

Our Winter Season jobs include but are not limited to, Chair Lift Attendants, Rental Technicians, Ticket and Lesson Sales, Cashiers, Cafeteria Cooks, Bartenders, Lodge Attendants, and Housekeeping.

Calabogie Peaks welcomes all international applications and we look forward to being able to continue to diversify our workforce.

Prior to applying, International Applicants interested in working for Calabogie Peaks should have:

  • Canadian Visa and Work Permit
  • Travel Insurance

To apply for your Canadian Visa and Work Permit, you must contact the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your country. Please remember that the application process can take several weeks or months.

Language

Calabogie Peaks welcomes foreign applicants and diverse cultures. All our employees must have a competent grasp of the English language and be able to communicate clearly with co-workers and guests. Please be prepared to go through the interview process and provide your resume in English.

It’s no furphy, mate. Calabogie, Ont., is a little bit of Down Under, just down the 417.

While major Canadian ski destinations like Whistler have long been a magnet for young Bruces and Sheilas, nearly all of the 40 or so internationals on staff at Calabogie Peaks Resort are from Oz, said Jim Hemlin, the resort’s chief operating officer.
