Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and energetic person to be our next Hotel Manager. We are looking for someone who thrives in the hospitality industry and has a love for the outdoors. This role is tailored for a hotel professional eager to elevate their career while helping position Calabogie Peaks Hotel as a premier Ontario destination.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the hotel, focusing on the front office and housekeeping teams.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service and addressing any operational challenges proactively.
  • Lead, train, and develop a motivated team, fostering a culture of service excellence and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with the resort leadership team to implement strategies that enhance guest satisfaction, enhance guest experiences, boost occupancy, and revenue.
  • Oversee operational budgets and resource management to achieve financial targets.
  • Maintain compliance with Choice Hotels’ brand standards while showcasing the unique qualities of Calabogie Peaks.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in hotel/resort management, with a background in front
    office, guest relations and housekeeping.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to inspire and
    develop teams.
  • Proficient in property management systems and point of sales systems, with a solid
    understanding of rooms and maintenance operations.
  • A passion for the outdoors and a desire to work in a dynamic, adventure-filled
    environment.
  • Has a college/university diploma in hospitality management or a related field.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a customer-first mindset and the ability to adapt to
    the evolving needs of the hotel.
  • Experience working with Choice Hotels would be an asset
