Job Description
Calabogie Peaks Resort is a four-season resort located in the town of Calabogie in the Ottawa Valley. We are looking for a full-time Bookkeeper who will be responsible for accurate and complete daily and monthly recordings of business transactions essential for the preparation of all accounting reports. The job will be onsite with the possibility to work some days from home once the training is completed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accounts receivable and reconciling accounts
- Daily revenue accounting
- Bank reconciliations
- Prepare and submit remittances
- Help prepare monthly financial statements
- Help prepare year-end working papers
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- College diploma or certificate in accounting/bookkeeping preferred
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience with Quickbooks is considered a strong asset
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation starts at $25 per hour
