Calabogie, Ontario – Calabogie Peaks Resort is thrilled to announce the return of Matt Cuccaro as our Snow School Director. With a lifelong passion for skiing and decades of professional experience, Matt brings unparalleled expertise and enthusiasm to his role.
Matt’s journey with Calabogie Peaks began when he first strapped on skis at the age of three. From participating in Calabogie Bogies programs and racing with the Upper Ottawa Valley Ski Club, to earning his Level 4 CSIA certification and instructing skiers across all skill levels, his connection to the resort and the sport runs deep.
Having worked as a ski professional in destinations across the country, Matt’s career reflects his dedication to sharing the joy of skiing with others. Beyond the slopes, his work as a professional guide and outdoor educator has taken him around the globe, guiding and mentoring outdoor enthusiasts in a variety of disciplines.
In addition to his extensive experience, Matt and his wife own a children’s camp in western Quebec, where they instill a love of the outdoors in the next generation. His return to Calabogie Peaks as Snow School Director underscores his commitment to fostering lifelong passion for skiing and creating unforgettable mountain experiences.
“I’m incredibly excited to be back at Calabogie Peaks,” Matt shares. “This mountain has been my home for over 47 years, and it’s an honour to lead the Snow School. Whether I’m helping beginners find their footing or supporting advanced skiers to refine their skills, my goal is to make every moment on the slopes enjoyable and memorable.”
